Van Gogh, Rembrandt style

First, I wanted to make Van Gogh in his particular Van Gogh style. I did quite some studies on the right brushes and colors. I tried Mudbox, Photoshop and some other tools. I never got the look & feel I was after. This is one of the tests.

Then, I thought, I might do the lighting and stuff in a Rembrandt style. The concept might not be as deep, but at least I've finished the image. 



His clothes could use some more work and detail. It did get the intense look that is so typical for Vincent.
